Monica ValraniCEO - Ladybird Nursery & Early Learning Centre

Monica Valrani is dedicated to the pursuit of educational excellence for young children. Having herself received a gold-standard education at Badminton, one of the UK’s leading independent schools, Monica went on to pursue a diploma and graduate with distinction in Montessori Teaching before going on to work as a Montessori directress in the Gulf Montessori Nursery in 1997. Ten years on and Monica became the principal of Dubai’s Tiny Home Montessori Nursery, managing its day-to-day running and overseeing the nursery’s growth. Under her guiding vision the nursery expanded its facilities to include an indoor play area complete with children’s gymnastics programme, as well as a garden planting area and Arabic and French teaching programmes.The following year saw Monica take on her current role of CEO at the hugely popular Ladybird Nursery and subsequently oversee the merger of Tiny Home Montessori and Ladybird Nurseries. In addition to overseeing the management of the nurseries and charting out the nurseries expansion, she is responsible for ensuring that Ladybird nurseries comply with government regulations and maintain an ethos that is always centred around the child.

Priscilla PalmerPrincipal, Jumeirah

Priscilla Palmer is the Principal of Ladybird Nursery, Jumeirah. She has been part of Ladybird’s wonderful journey for the past 20 years. As a qualified early years educator, she has worked with children of all age groups before obtaining a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health, Social Care, Children and Young People’s Services. She enjoys and thrives on the challenge that comes with every aspect of nursery life and is passionate about high quality education and each and every child reaching their full potential. Priscilla is married with 3 children, the youngest being a former Ladybird student. She is a qualified pilot and an avid traveller.

Leah O' NeillPrincipal, JVC

Leah is the Principal of our JVC Branch. She is passionate about early years education and has been teaching young children and working with parents in preschool and primary school settings for over twelve years. Leah is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and holds a postgraduate degree from Trinity College, Dublin. Since moving to Dubai four years ago, Leah has taught across the early years phase in the toddler classes, foundation stages and in year one. She is delighted to have recently completed a Master’s degree in Education at the British University in Dubai. As a strong advocate of inclusive education, Leah strives to ensure that every child is nurtured and supported within a positive learning environment that is encouraging, stimulating and fun. In her spare time, Leah loves to play the violin and has performed professionally throughout America, India and Ireland. She has previously worked as a music school coordinator for two years and holds a Leadership and Management Level 5 Diploma.

Louisa McCormack

Louisa is the principal of our new branch in Al Barsha, having previously been Deputy Manager of our JVC branch. She is a qualified Early years Educator and has had the pleasure of teaching in all age ranges throughout her 6 years at Ladybird before gaining her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health, Social Care, Children and Young People’s Services. Louisa is committed to supporting every single child to meet their development goals and is a strong believer that this comes from building great relationships between home and nursery. She is very passionate about sustainability and preparing children for lifelong attitudes towards being sustainable. Louisa is married with 3 children of her own, all of whom have been Ladybird students.
