I cannot forget the day I first dropped my two-year-old to Ladybird Nursery. While many view a child’s first experience with separation anxiety as part of the process of growing up, it is nevertheless heart-wrenching for a parent. I was no exception to this.
However, as my son entered through the gates of Ladybird Nursery, holding my hand as tight as he could, I knew he would be just fine. There is a special bond that exists between a mother and a child, and as a mother, you just know when your child has found the right environment to both play and learn. Ladybird Nursery has always provided that environment.
Since opening its doors in 1996 in its flagship location in Jumeirah 1, Ladybird Nursery has nurtured children in a safe and secure environment that is conducive to learning. We have been selective in our expansion, and it was only in 2016 that we opened our second branch in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). The learning environment has always been important to us, and it was only when we were able to deliver a world-class early years learning centre, did we decide to open a second branch. The JVC branch is certified LEED Gold by the US Green Building Council for the environmentally friendly materials that have been used in its construction and has received international praise for its design.
As crucial as our environments are, our priority has always been our children and their learning. There are three key pillars behind Ladybird’s child-centred ethos: Seeing is Believing, Big School Ready and our 20+-year-old legacy. We believe that every child’s learning journey is unique, and through the use of Montessori materials can be individualised and seen first-hand in our classrooms and beyond. We also believe that as teachers, we must do our very best to ensure that every Ladybird child must be ready to take on the next phase of their educational journey when they graduate from our early years’ settings. Last but not least, we are defined by our legacy, one which has been placing our children in the finest primary schools in the world for over twenty years. We come into the nursery every day, knowing that we are part of an ecosystem where outstanding teaching and learning has taken place for over 2 decades.
We wish to assure your child will not only remain safe and secure in our nurseries but will also develop a love for learning that will stay with them for time to come. Thank you for considering Ladybird Nursery.
